My mission is to create meaningful information from the chaos of numbers that a business encounters each and every day.

Good question, it’s working with you to help you understand why you may have tax to pay but no money in the bank; why the profit is decreasing yet you are working harder than ever.

My approach to your business is I cannot do what you do well, so let me do what I do well.

I’ve worked in the accounting industry for over 10 years starting as a graduate accountant, doing the bookkeeping of a lot of businesses, preparing their BAS and other activity statements, preparing financial statements and tax returns. After deemed competent in accounting tasks 101, I moved up the ranks to higher turnover entities who generally had more complex structures, doing exactly the same debits and credits with just higher volume.

 

 

 

The last 4 years of my accounting life has been specialising in the Self Managed Superannuation Fund area.

While most people think working with numbers is so boring! I beg to differ, numbers can be as effective as words in telling you what’s happening financially within the business. After dealing with the debits and credits aspect, I enjoy sitting back and reviewing the story they have. For some, it will be an incredibly boring, yet satisfying story that your business is going well. For others, it’s a story of what the? Where did the money go? I want to help you make sense of your financial story, and helping you identify what is going on with your books. This is where I would love to help you, interpret the story your numbers are telling me, and help you put into place practicable steps to achieve your financial goals.

About me as the person

I am a CPA qualified Accountant who has worked in the Tax industry on the Gold Coast for the last 10 years.

My experience in preparing accounts covers a number of industries and professions from Medical, Construction, Retail and Financial Services. Additionally, I have extensive experience in preparing SMSF financial statements and tax returns.

With that experience and knowledge allows me to not only get the accounts right the first time and with my underlying tax knowledge, I can get to the core of what’s important in preparing your accounts. This will ultimately save you time and money.

I’ve been on the Gold Coast since 1989 which according to my husband means I’m almost a local! I attended Griffith University, raised both of my children here and apart from about a year, I have lived in Southport the entire time. My husband has his own business from which I gained a deeper insight into the other side of the accounting equation!
